May 8, 2018 (Holliston, MA) – Exsultet!, a celebration of women’s voices, is honoring the music and poetry of Scotland at its Scotland the Brave concert on Saturday, May 19th at 7:30pm at the First Congregational Church in Holliston, Massachusetts. The performance will include folk songs and poetry as well as contemporary Scottish pieces performed by the ensemble and its youth chorus, Jubilate.
The concert will come alive with the sound of bagpipes performed by Iain Massie, an accomplished musician who has performed with the Boston Pops and is a founding member of the Boston Pipers Society. Exsultet! is excited to unveil three new arrangements by Eva Connelly Kendrick based on Scottish folk songs. Ms. Kendrick is an award-winning composer and vocalist who is also a professor at Dean College.
Advance tickets are $15; students and seniors (65+) are $12; and children 12 and under are free. Performances are not suitable for children under the age of 5. Tickets can be purchased online at www.exsultet.us or by calling Stacey Balardini at 508-395-5600.
